This set is perfect for anyone interested in using a straight razor. The quality of the set is top notch. The case is a lovely soft leather and the blade came super sharp and shiny. Very lightweight and easy to hold, but sturdy. I got this set as a gift and there was no need to wrap as it came in a very nice box. Any wrapping paper I have would have been an insult to this
sophisticated and beautiful product. I am extremely pleased with my purchase! Ordering was easy, shipping was fast, and the customer service was excellent! I have already recommended your company to quite a few people! Thank you!
Have looked for this item for a while. Now that I have it there are no words to describe my joy. I thank you and my wife for your quality and your service
I think the case is really a good storage box. I like its capacity and appearance very much. I feel I did the right thing and I don't regret buying it.
First off this is a nice set for travel, collections, or someone just getting started. The razor comes in a giftable package and an attractive travel bag. I personally wasn't a fan of the brush because it collapses, but I could see how it would come in handy for travel since it stores in the handle. The strop is decent, but if you're going to get serious into using a straight razor get yourself a block strop or use this on a flat surface. I know you see people hanging the strop and pulling tension while stropping but this can inherently dull your blade. Best way to explain how is to take a strop or belt, hang it, and pull tension like you would a normal strop. Then take a crayon or something similar and cut the end at a even point. Like this: > imagine the greater than symbol as the point. Now strop the crayon like you would a razor. After stropping some, you'll notice the edge is no longer a sharp point and instead slightly rounded. Same thing happens with your blade edge. This happens from the slight give or flex in the strop and a block or flat surface prevents that. Anyways now on to the razor itself. The blade is good quality and comes decently sharp. I did have to hone mine some to make it actual shave ready to my preferences. Blade holds a decent edge, but I feel that the handle is a tad too large and heavy making for unbalanced hold. Maybe just a personal opinion, but still a decent razor and set.
Perfect shave kit! Quality made. My first straight razor, but with practice it's been exactly what I needed. Wasn't expecting to find another hobby by shaving, but it's one of those things that's turned into treating myself.
